Marinades / Seasonings (Epis)
An all-purpose seasoning is used in many dishes, including meats, seafood, stews, soups, rice,
and more.
This seasoning is the backbone of most Caribbean cuisines that give our food that unique
depth of flavor. A combination of fresh vegetables, herbs, and spices blended into a delightful
marinade.
The base originates from Taino and African roots and is similar to the base used in Hispanic
cuisine called Sofrito.
Spicy Pickled Slaw (Pikliz)
This bright and fiery Haitian condiment (pronounced "pick-leez") is traditionally served with meats and fried food to balance rich flavors. Uniquely, it has been used on burgers, salads, soups, and more. With a dash of it on anything, it can transform any dish! Pikliz is made with Shredded cabbage, carrots, onions, and hot peppers.sauces
